Our services are held at 9:30am on the first and third Sundays of the month. Variations are published on the calendar. When there is no service in Widford, we join in worship with Wareside Church (also at 9:30am). Everyone is very welcome.
Now the government has lifted all restrictions, we invite people to make their own choice about wearing masks and keeping social distance. We are reserving pews at the back of the building (nearest the tower) for those who wish to attend but keep separate from others. It is expected that those who sit in these seats will wear masks throughout the service. Hand sanitiser is available by the door. We are not serving refreshments afterwards at the moment, but we do encourage people to spend time after the services sharing conversation with others – but outside rather than inside.
Online worship resources are still being published on the benefice website, here. These will mainly be sermons or live-streamed services.
Prior to lockdown our service pattern included a service of Evening Prayer using the liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer (1662) at 6:30pm on the second Sunday of the month. As soon as we are able, we would like to restart this.
