Widford Church is a small, friendly community of people looking to see the name of God honoured in our lives and village for the benefit of all. We would be delighted to welcome you to worship with us or join us in our other activities. Our services are at 9:30am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, and the weekly sermon can be found online (here).
The church building has been a striking feature on the landscape for over 700 years and we like to keep it open during daylight hours so anyone can call in to pray and spend time in reflection. We are delighted that so many people within the village take an active interest in keeping the building open, clean, well-maintained and, for services and special events, beautifully adorned with flowers.
Our vision is to ensure that the church (both the building and the Christian community) remains a blessing to residents of the village for many years to come. Do have a look at our Sunday service programme and other midweek activities listed in our church diary.
We hope our website is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like any more information, or for an ongoing engagement, keep in touch.
Widford Church is part of a wider group of churches within the Church of England Diocese of St Albans which includes St Dunstan, Hunsdon and Holy Trinity, Wareside. See our links page for more information.
